Clarksville, VA Independence Day Parade
July 3, 2010

The Fifes and Drums of Yorktown made a road trip all the way to Clarksville on July 3rd. The contingent caravanned there and back in two 12 passenger vans, two mini-vans and a pickup truck. In addition to leading the town's Independence Day Parade, the Corps played the National Anthem to honor the town's veterans. Following a delicious complimentary lunch, the Corps performed our standard NPS show. Everyone had a great time and the people of Clarksville were extremely gracious hosts. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of townspeople who approached us offering personal compliments and thanking us for performing in their town.
