National Memorial Day Parade
May 30, 2011

Our Corps was once again honored to be invited to march in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington D. C. This was our second year participating in the parade. Over 200 groups from across the United States were in attendance. Estimates from the parade committee had the audience numbered at over 200,000. The parade route is rather long (over 2 miles!) and due to the heat and humidity, it has become a test of fortitude and endurance. Fortunately, the audience was there from beginning to end clapping and cheering the participants onward. The shower tent at the end of the parade was a big treat.
