National Portrait Gallery
February 17th, 2007

In a new venue for this year, the Fifes and Drums of York Town had the opportunity to perform at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC. The performance was part of the President's Day weekend celebration and gave our members an opportunity to perform for a highly diverse audience in a museum that doesn't receive as much attention as it deserves.

Between performances, our members took the oportunity to see statues ranging from Lafayette to Tecumseh, as well as the portraits of all of our American Presidents.

The trip was a great experience for all of our performers and we hope to return soon...
