Summer Trip
July 19 - 22, 2012

The Fifes and Drums of York Town left on their Summer Trip on Thursday, July 19th. This year's trip was significant because the Corps headed from Yorktown, Virginia where the battle that ended the Revolutionary War occurred to Minute Man National Historic Park just outside of Boston, Massachusetts where "the shot heard 'round the world" was fired. In addition to performing there, the Corps also toured and performed at the USS Constitution, the world's oldest commissioned warship still afloat, and at historic Faneuil Hall in Boston. The Corps then headed to a favorite spot, Deep River, Connecticut for the largest fife and drum corps muster in the world. There they participated in the traditional parade down Main Street and performed their 2012 Field Show for a large and very appreciative audience.
