Opening for the Virginia Symphony
August 30, 2014

The Fifes and Drums of York Town continued the tradition of opening for the Virginia Symphony on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. This year the event took place at Riverwalk Landing with the beautiful backdrop of the Coleman Bridge and the York River. A large crowd gathered to enjoy the colonial music followed by the classical program. Although the day was quite warm, the weather cooled off nicely just in time for the "Symphony Under the Stars".
