Even though conflicting schedules challenged the event, this year Yorktown continued it's traditional Torchlight Parade... The event was started three years ago as a cooperative program between the Celebrate Yorktown Commitee, the National Park Service and the Fifes and Drums of York Town. When concerns arose this year about traffic and competing events, program organizer Bonnie Karwac rose to the challenge and developed a plan that would allow the Torchlight Parade to continue unabated.
