Yorktown Day
October 19, 2012

Once again, the Fifes and Drums of York Town were instrumental in helping the historic community remember the Victory at Yorktown. Despite a steady drizzle in the morning, contingents performed at the DAR Coffee and memorial services at Thomas Nelson's grave and the French Memorial. Fortunately, the weather cleared up just in time for the traditional Yorktown Day Parade in which the Corps marched with The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, as well as many school and military bands and organizations. Corps members also participated in the beautiful pageant of flags at the Yorktown Monument. The festivities ended at Corps Headquarters with a performance for the annual fundraiser followed by refreshments for all inside.
