Yorktown Day
October 19, 2015

The Fifes and Drums of York Town began Yorktown Day performing at the traditional DAR Coffee. Afterwards a small delegate performed at the memorial service at the Thomas Nelson gravesite behind historic Grace Church, while the rest of the Senior Corps headed to the French Memorial for the wreath laying ceremony. Next, the Corps marched down Main Street along with many local and visiting groups in the Yorktown Day Parade. Following the parade, several Corps members participated in the beautiful pageant of flags at the Yorktown Monument. The entire Corps then gathered back at Corps Headquarters for the annual fundraiser performance. The Fifes and Drums of York Town led the community in celebrating the Victory at Yorktown in true-blue fashion.
